At the time that I was formulating the principles of the Foundation, I attempted to look toward the future in redefining the traditional Ukrainian viewpoint. Ukrainians have always constituted part of the world's working class, and the world (through taxes) has always profited from their labour. The time has come for Ukrainians to break out of the mould of hired workers and passive consumers of information to become equal partners in the process of global development and active shapers of international public opinion.
